Easter Weekend in Marin

My Front Door ... A Welcoming Entrance with a fountain gurgling....
My first weekend at my new casa... so far so good. The weather has been great, days in the low 70's. My good friend, Pamela, came by today and it was so wonderful to reconnect. We met each other in 1990 and have been close friends since then.... we sat on my deck and caught up a little. There is still so much to share.

I had a massage at a local massage center in San Rafael and had the good fortune to get a young Chinese woman who was trained from childhood by her Dr. father in China, who is also an acupuncturist. She knew all the pressure points. I was really all "tied" up with the move and my back was hurting. I can't say that it was pleasant, but she got in there and worked on some very tight muscles. I will go back in a week and then she can go deeper. I really miss Bert, my Medford massage therapist, but Neena did a really good job.

When I came home, there was a little cake all wrapped up with a bow by my front door. No name, it really lifted my spirits to know I have old friends here and am already making new ones, too. Pamela introduced me to a woman who lives in the upper building that she knows. We were in the garage and she walked in to dump her garbage. Regina is an artist, I saw her apt. She has the second bedroom as a studio and there is art in progress everywhere. I think we may become good neighbor friends. We share a lot in common. She has lived here for 3 years and loves living here. This seems to be the opinion of most of the tenants.

My #75 is really two buildings, upper and lower. Apts 1 - 6 are above the garage and 7-12 are down the hill from the garage. I have 3 units on my level and there are 3 above me. This makes it seem not too large and cozier. I love my entrance with a lovely fountain and the sound of water welcoming me and guests.

Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. I will be a little tough being away from all my Jacksonville "family". I plan to go to the 11 service at Hillside, my old church and then I think I will take a hike on one of the many beautiful places to walk around here. Em (Porter) and Elsa will be arriving Thursday. I can hardly wait to be able to see my newest grandchild up close and personal.

Have a blessed Easter, everyone and I will check in later.... Elizabeth
