This has been a week of packing, tossing, cleaning, and most of all doing things "for the last time". It is never easy to say good bye to a place and dear friends that have meant so very much to me. I arrived here almost 8 years ago with two good women friends to start a life in the wild west of the Applegate Valley. I have experienced life on the Applegate River, 19 miles from town and then later life in the wonderful town of Jacksonville. It has been such a great community in which to live. Much has happened in the past 8 years and now it is time to move onto the next chapter of my life.
I am returning to Marin County which is really like coming home. I lived there for almost 40 years and so I have family and friends waiting to welcome me back. I have named my blog MAOMA3 because this is who I am, a MA of two adult daughters and a grandma or Oma (the name my family uses) to two grandsons and one granddaugher.
This blog has been created as a way to stay in touch with my friends and family. When I started my adventure along the Applegate River 8 years ago, I wrote newletters to my California connections. It was a very new and different life style for me and I wanted a record of life out in the wild west. Now I have gone "high tech" with this blog. I hope you enjoy following the next steps of a mom and a grandma.
