Happy Happy Mothers' Day

This was Em's very first Mother's Day and we had a lovely time.

Miss Elsa woke up at 5 on Mothers' Day. Boy, am I glad I do not have the morning wake up protocol! SOOOOooooo after waking from her first morning nap at 8:30 am, the three of us went to the market, got some food and headed on out to West Marin.

It was so great to be driving on these beautiful back country roads through the redwoods and then on out to Pt. Reyes Seashore. It was quite windy once we got there, we took India take a short stroll along a creek and then we ended up in Inverness at the Busy Bee Bakery for Latte's and a goody. Miss Elsa sat up in the booth and charmed us all with the hand knit hat her Mama made. Mama is what Em wants Elsa to call her.
Elsa is almost able to sit up all by herself now with an occasional side slip.... she continues to be so good natured and every time she is out in public, people stop us to tell us how beautiful and or cute she is. Of course, I am the proud Oma and get all puffed up that she belongs to me as my granddaughter! I love seeing Em out in public with Elsa, they are a terrific pair.

Miss Elsa at the Busy Bee Bakery in Inverness.... charming us all with her new hat.Elsa and I do a lot of "hanging out" together. Here we are "reading" a book. Elsa loves the fabric books that have tags and things to touch. I have on my OMA fleece top that Kate gave me for Christmas. I wear it often just in case people do not know that Elsa and I are a team.... I call my self OMA3 now that I have a grand daughter and 2 grandsons, Bentley and Davis.
I feel very loved and blessed to have received lovely cards and these beautiful flowers for Mothers' Day. The Lantermans sent me this sweet bouquet in a tea cup and Kate and Em and Elsa, India and Lulu sent me these amazing roses. Along with all the phone calls and messages, "My cup overfloweth".

It was a very wonderful day.... Em got a lot of flowers, cards and calls and was so supported by friends and family as she celebrated being a Mama. Miss Elsa gave her lots of smiles, laughs and snuggles.

don't forget a very important part of the day - when Oma came over in the afternoon and gave me a break so I could go to the gym for an hour. that was HUGE. :-)
