A Cold New Year's Day 2009
The New Year's started with all things that I enjoy doing. First, I helped Porter with Elsa as she got ready to take off to visit Jan. Elsa and I entertained each other as Porter packed and did the myriad of things that need doing when one takes off leaving your dog and your child behind. Many bags of things and instructions, too.
I had roasted a huge pan of veggies on New Year's Eve... there was lots to share so I took over a bunch to Patti Cooke's home and we enjoyed a warm bowl of the veggies with wonderful bread for a delicious lunch ... then off for a "brisk" walk; "brisk" as in very chilly, not marching along. It was pretty by the water but we were happy to head on back to her home and enjoy some warm tea and our fresh fruit.
