Sketch Crawl Day

Today was an official "World Wide Sketchcrawl Day" when sketchers all over the world went out the door or, in the door, in my case to sketch. My daughter, Kate, organized a World Wide Sketchcrawl 21 in Austin today. Check out her blog at

Some how, I did not get around to being a part of this world wide movement until after the sun was behind the hill. It had been a glorious, sunny day. I walked, ate my lunch and then read a good book out in the sun on my deck.

I did choose a favorite spot to draw, my corner for starting my day. As you can see by reading my text, I start my day in this lovely corner looking out onto the oak trees to the mountains beyond.
It was fun drawing and painting a place I love to be.

Hi Elizabeth!
Thanks for your comments on my blog! I use a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 handbook journal — it's like the medium size moleskine, but the paper is toothier and not as slick.

Your pages are great! You made the chair look so comfy and I really like your initial caps in the heading.

Best regards, Karen
