Cow Art at Pt. Reyes

I took my sister, Nancy, out to West Marin to celebrate her birthday.
Our plan was to hike out at Chimney Rock which is at the tip of the Pt. Reyes Peninsula. What I did not plan for was the hoards of people that all had the same idea. "Let's go out to GGNRA to enjoy a glorious sunny spring day."

They were running a shuttle bus to the trail head. We decided to skip the crowds and we had a lovely walk at South Beach instead of doing Chimney Rock. Then we drove over to visit the Visitor's Center, the Park's headquarters. No way, and no visit; the parking lot was full and nary a place to park. I have never seen so many hundreds of bikes, motorcycles and cars all cruising in the same area. We headed back to Pt. Reyes Station for a lunch at a local cafe.

The high point of my day was seeing this wonderful cow on display. In fact there were many artistic cows along the sidewalks as Nancy and I walked up and down the street.

Isn't she delightful? I love her hat and boots........
She is covered with Baby Tears, pink and lilac flowers and has a rope tail.

I went back to take a photo of this great cow art and came home and did a journal page to remember our Birthday Outing in West Marin.

Fabulous! That cow is definitely ready for Spring!!! I love your sketch of it, too. You chose some delicious colours :)
