A Nosegay from a Garden

Yesterday, I had a Sunday gathering at my home. My dear friend, Shirley, is visiting from Jacksonville. I invited another good friend, Sue, to come over to see her. They had not seen one another for about 10 years. It was so great to catch up.... it was as though it had been 10 minutes since we had all been together. I think that is what a good friendship does, one can pick up where ever you left off and reconnect easily.

Sue brought me an arrangement of flowers from her garden... they were heavenly and had a wonderful aroma.

Here they are on my mantle and then below these words, they appear again in my journal.


My daughter, Porter, came over to see everyone and then to have supper.
My granddaughter, Elsa, entertained us all with her 19 month old antics and singing and good nature.
