Our watercolor journaling group met at my home today... we were 5. After painting for 2 hours, we gathered around the table with our brown bag lunches and had show and tell.
It is always interesting to see other people's work...we also share what we have done in our journals since we last met together.
Here I am showing my tomato pages. I was not too happy with the gouache and the paper in this Handbook journal. The paper does not allow for wet on wet .... and I found the gouache to be a disappointment as the colors did not blend or layer. This was good for me to know. I will use the set for lettering and small touches of color in my journal. I am eager to get back to real watercolor paper.
Here is my experiment in gouache... I added regular watercolor on the facing page.

Love the tomatoes! I am noit fond of gouache either. I used it when I didicon painting and I was always rewetting the layer below by accident.
If you are willing to share you reading list I would be very grateful.wendyshortland@gmail.com
