A Trip to Cornerstone in Sonoma

I tried out my watercolor crayons but did not take the time to really put the color down correctly. I need to spend more time with this medium.... I also like to define the lines with ink. I'll try this again.

Our Watercolor Journaling Group headed on up to Sonoma to a place called Cornerstone.
It is filled with various gardens designed by gifted Landscape Architects and designers. I spent most of my time there just looking and appreciating the beauty around me.

I did manage to do a quick sketch of this very large tent that Cornerstone uses for events.
Lots of lavender in pots ... I enjoyed visiting with 2 young boys who were very interested in my journal and gave me suggestions as they looked on .... maybe they will keep a journal of their own some day?
