Japanese Plum

I love the delicate pink blossoms of the Japanese Plum tree. We had a couple of these trees in our front yard when we lived on Berens Drive in the 1960's. Each summer I would make plum jelly... it made this clear beautiful jelly that was so good, tart and delicious.

Everything about this tree is plum colored. It has very little green and only the bark of the trunk is brown.

Beautiful sketch and watercolor--that plum branch and flowers look so real! We're still mired down in the snow (this a.m., it was 4' below. It did get up to 14'
We are supposed to get a "warm-up" next week... :-)
