Today, Our Watercolor Journaling Group met on the Dominican University campus.
It was one of those glorious spring days that are crystal clear with just the right temperatures.
This building was originally a residence.
The university added on a wing (see to the left of the photo)
and turned it into a dorm/conference center.
There is a wonderful bank of California Golden poppies...

There is a wonderful bank of California Golden poppies...
they really look beautiful set against the dark shingles of the residence hall.
I loved these rocks set into a bed of flowers
.
Miriam captures the flower bed on her page.
One of the gardeners stopped his lawn mover to show us an albino poppy.
It had a pale shade of pink in the center that the camera was unable to capture.
Jason was so nice to us. He loved chatting about the different flower beds all around us.
Here is a close up of the Albino Poppy.
I had never seen a white California Poppy.
Here is our gang at the table for "Show and Tell".
L to R - Jeanne, Jillian, Miriam and Audrey.
Today's page in my journal.
This is the last page of my current book.... a nice ending!
I borrowed the idea of a close up of a flower in a circle from my online class with Laure Ferlita.

What a fabulous place to sketch!! You would have to drag me out of there! Love the white poppy—we don't have them here so I had no idea that was rare.
Love your journaled page with the magnified circle—very cool!!
