Lesson 4's page

(Ooops, "It feels" rather than "I feels"... on the above text!)
This is what happens when one is hanging out in their right
brain, spelling and language go out the window!

This week we were to combine several elements together as we created our pages.
Laure Ferlita asked us to use Positive Space, Negative Space and Values as well as remembering to "design" our pages to incorporate titles and/or word artborders, and backgrounds.

Then, we were free to do what ever we wanted subject wise.

Following my theme of "serendipities", I chose to paint my lower kitchen cabinet that has a brand new metal pull out rack. Every time I reach down and  simply pull out the rolling rack, I give thanks that my creaky old knees are not needing to kneel on the floor to reach the back of the cabinet. Small things bring great gratitude these days.

I wanted to keep my page simple... I used negative painting behind the pots and pans and to create the wire rack. I also made a "wire" border.... my signature Winsor red is here and there.

My sister lives in a three story townhome with the living areas on the third floor. She also has twelve foot high ceilings. My knees sure feel it when I visit and then sometimes we end up on the roof patio too! I can understand your liking this rack. Nice job on the page too. I tend to forget borders and everything even though I've taken her basics class!
