A Day at MOMA and The Stein Collection

Our Redwoods Bus took a group of us into SF to see
the Stein Collection today.
Matisse, Picasso and the Parisian Avant-Garde
has been a big hit.

First, we fortified ourselves with lattes for
energy to deal with the crowds.
I loved this "bug" by the roof top garden coffee shop.

This glass sculpture and the light streaming into the museum caught my eye.

After seeing the exhibit, I took my sack lunch
across the street to the Yerba Buena Center.
The sun came out and I had a delightful and
peaceful time enjoying my lunch in
this beautiful park in the center of SF.

St. Patrick's Church, built in 1853,
stands surrounded by large modern buildings.
I loved the contrast of the old and new and did a page as
I sat at one of these tables
that were being set up for a crowd.
The Moscone Convention Center is near by.

It was a delightful day and it was so nice to be driven.
No need to park your car or fight the traffic.
These excursions are one of the reasons
I moved to The Redwoods.

It sounds like you had a great day. I can sure see the advantage of being driven. I like freeway driving but hate to find my way around strange places in cities. The eyes aren't as quick as they used to be - well, no part of me is but that's another thing altogether.

Good job at keeping up with your challenge!
