I discovered this fun old toy truck
at Sloat's Nursery last week.
It was filled with bright yellow flowers.
The truck caught my eye as
I was wandering among
the plants and enjoying
all the colors and fragrances.
I took a few photos and then
went home and painted it on
a sheet of smooth watercolor paper
that I do not usually use.
The paper accepts the color in a different way.
Once I got familiar with using the paper,
I had fun doing washes for the backgrounds.
I put salt into the ground color
to create some texture
and had fun slopping on the gray
board by board with slightly
different shades.
The big issue is the NAME!
Hmmmm,
"Floral Truck", "1-800- Flowers",
"Special Delivery".
Any good ideas?
