September Days are Dwindling

Where has this month gone?
It seems to be the busiest month of the year.
It also seems to feel like the beginning of the year.
Things crank up again after the summer's break.

I do LOVE Fall. It is my favorite season.
The light changes, the evenings are cool and the
days have richer feeling of warmth like a wool blanket.
There have been some amazing skies recently.
I always have my iphone with me and I have gotten some
fairly decent photos of the clouds and sunrises.

The maple tree outside of my deck
is turning scarlet. I gathered a bunch
of leaves from "my tree"
and put them into a circle on my desk.

It was so interesting to see all the different shades and patterns.

There is such a variety of colors!

Then, of course, I had to paint some, too.

I also painted a grape leaf that I found on our
garden fencing.

This was before a border and this
one is after.  I used salt to create texture
on the leaf.

Our garden is just starting to produce
a pumpkin crop or two.
Here are 3 pumpkins that
I found just sitting around.

This weekend, I get to go on a paint out
with my daughter, Kate. I am very excited
to be included. We will be out in Bolinas
at an Organic Farm. Hopefully, I will
have something to show for it!
