The days grow shorter. We have been blessed with
wonderful sunny days, but now I wake up to frost
on our roof tops. I need to remember to take time to
allow my car to warm up and to scrape the frost off of
my car windows.
These Egrets and Blue Herons enjoyed a Thanksgiving
Breakfast Buffet on our marsh this week.
I love my morning walks along the back of our campus.
Almost every day, I see something very special.
This morning was a Thanksgiving gift to me.
Our church is saying farewell to Barb Rowe,
our wonderful Associate Pastor. There were lots of
tears today as we officially closed her ministry with our
local congregation. I could not stop weeping. I realize how
much she means to me and how much I will miss her.
Next Sunday's service will be one of celebration
as we honor her and her ministry. We will follow the
service with a gala reception.
I have been working hard putting together
a memory book of photos. 21 years of ministry
put down in one book.
This is an impossible task, but the book will probably be
a nice reminder of her time at Westminster Presbyterian Church
in Tiburon, California.
I'm including some images that I have taken and painted during
these last two weeks of November. We had a wreath making
session in our Organic Garden and I made a simple wreath
out of dried materials.
I continue to enjoy the online journal class I am taking,
Draw My Awesome Life.
Here are few lesson pages and weekly grids where
I record each day in a small box with words and paint.
This page was done at our Watercolor Journal Group "Paint In".
First you paint the Persimmon, and then you eat it!
Happy December Everyone, I hope you can take time
to "smell the evergreens" as life gets a little too busy.
I do not enter a retail store during this month.
This helps me stay sane and remember that
family and friends (not stuff) is what is important.

I love your Awesome Journal ...wonderful daily memories. The egrets and herons are so plentiful! Do you have this many most of the year? The memory journal of your retiring pastor is very special. You both should enjoy it very much. Elizabeth, may your December be wonderful and happy.
