Guided Imagery and Music

I was given the gift of experiencing Guided Imagery and Music this morning. It was a new way for me of getting in touch with God. Several of my friends had suggested that I give this process a try and I am so very thankful that I did it.

It really surprised me how "wiped out" I felt after it was over... After the Guided Imagery and Music, I sat myself down in a pretty place that was under a large pine tree and wrote down all that I could remember from the process.

I had planned to do a bunch of errands but I quickly realized that the best gift I could give my self was to go home, be quiet and allow myself to take in all that I had experienced.

Doing a journal page always is a restful, nurturing activity for me.. and so I tried to capture the bright color and dramatic shadows of one of my Gerber Daisy blooms. I am really glad that I can just be quiet today with very little I "have" to do. Being retired definitely has its advantages.

Sometimes, all you need is selftime to center, regroup, focus and appreciate even those things that have caused you stress in your life. One of the greatest gifs of all is time....great job!!!

Very nice drawing of the flower, and I think you were totally right to take the time to just "be". We don't do enough of that as a rule! nancy

I agree, sometimes you just need to be at peace and recenter your soul. Your journal page is lovely and the color of the flower is beautiful.

I love that retirement is including retreats and opportunities for contemplation for you. As well, of course as your DELIGHTFuL journal. Love your gerber daisy.
