Flowers from a Friend

My neighborhood friend, Miriam, gave me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers all in the shades of orange, peach, rust .... I tried to capture them on paper. Unfortunately, I painted the undercoat with too strong color that would not lift... oh well. I have not done a regular painting for awhile so it felt good to break out the bigger brushes and give it a try... perhaps, I am on my way to doing regular sized paintings again. For over a year I have mainly done my journal entries....

Here it is...

A Bouquet from Miriam

Beautiful and I don't think the backgroud is too dark.

A watercolor to be proud of! The orange against the blue background really makes the flowers pop. Fine work. nancy

Zingy and vibrant! Lovely style.
Always a joy to see oranges and blues together - the best and brightest of the complimentary colours methinks.
