A Couple of New Journal Pages

Last week, my sister was visiting and so I did not do much in my journal. I did play around with some watercolors trying for a looser style and came up with these pots.

Today our Watercolor Journaling Group returned to the Wood's beautiful garden. We had 2 new painters, which is always nice. Our small group of the original 4 is growing and it is fun to see the different styles produced by our painters.

Once again, I was drawn to the wonderful rock work in the garden. I loved being able to look through this classic shape to the vine covered wall behind and being able to see the tree growing in the background.

Our hostess came back to her home in time for our picnic lunch. She graciously showed us her studio and some of the more recent work she has done. It was fascinating to learn about her process, so different from watercolor. We were all very interested in learning a little about how she produces her very beautiful art.

All in all, it was a very wonderful day of art and friends.
