Autumn Walk

I tried using my scanner for this image and as you can see, the unhinged lid lets in too much light for a good reproduction. Now I am going outside to give it a try with my trusty Canon Power Shot Camera.

The image below was taken with my Canon and has much better color and light....
I guess the spiral binding of my journal makes getting a good scan a challenge.

Any way, I like this one better.

These leaves were picked during one of my morning walks. I have a wonderful 2 mile circuit that includes walking on a bike path along the Corte Madera creek in the early hours. Often, the women from the Marin Rowing Club are out on the water. I love seeing the 8's go by and a special treat is to glimpse my daughter, Porter as she "rows her boat" .... I wave but she is busy doing her rowing in unison thing.

Not too much has been going on this week. I am loving the cool nights and warm days. Soon, the rains and cooler weather of November will be upon us and I am soaking in every beautiful October day.
