Off to Kaiser this am to get my flu shot. I was very impressed with their set up.... hundreds of members going through a very efficient process... it only took about 15 minutes. They have really streamlined systems to move people through quickly.
Thank you Kaiser!
This afternoon I attended a tea at our local Book Passage Store that was a fund raiser for the Larkspur Library. We were served a lovely tea by the Library staff. The staff also made a great assortment of delicious cookies for us to enjoy. The store owner, Elaine, gave wonderful and enthusiastic book reviews ... I could not resist, I walked out with 5 books. They are Christmas gifts for my family that loves to read. Book Passage gave the Library 10% today, so it was a good deal for them and for me. I like to buy Christmas gifts early. It takes the pressure off, of what can be, a too busy season.
I stopped at the local market to pick up an few items. In front of the store they have a huge display of all sorts of squash and pumpkins and autumn corn and gourds. I simplified and just put a few onto my journal page. Lots of families came by to choose a pumpkin to take home. I loved being able to hear the little ones tell their families which was the very "best" one.
