My Gratitude Plates

Months ago when I move to Marin, I went into the local California DMV office and had 3 choices for a personalized plate. My first choice was GR8FUL. When the woman behind the desk typed in this choice, her face broke into an astonished state. She could not believe that this plate was available. It was amazing. Kate, my daughter, guessed that some "Deadhead" had just let go of it... anyway ....

Here it is on my car.

Practicing gratitude is a big part of my spiritual practice. For years I have kept a gratitude list daily. I write down 5 things for which I am grateful. Almost always, the list has nothing to do with things, or possessions or stuff.... usually it is all about relationships... with my Higher Power and with other people in my life. I feel so blessed to be living the life that I am now living. I have God and family and friends; everything else is just icing on the cake.

Now I can drive around and share my state of gratefulness with others on the road!
