Changing Weather Weekend

I really wanted to go outside to paint today but every time I thought it was a good time, the rains started or the dark gray clouds came over the horizon. I ended up doing this small watercolor looking out my window. The clouds were so beautiful, dark and light with the blue sky peeking through from time to time. I even got some sun on me as I did the painting.

Earlier, I went to the market to get some veggies for dinner. Beets are always a favorite as we did not serve them at our home during the growing up years. I love roasted veggies and they are in the oven as I write this blog.

It takes me awhile to catch up to the "new" gadgetry in the kitchen. I was needing to get the juice out of a lot of lemons. It would have taken a long time with my old faithful Foley juicer that I have had since I was married in 1962. However, new things are here and I had fun trying out my new modern design "squeezer". It made the project a snap. No seeds, no pulp, just juice!

I love the clean, fresh lines to your art... your journal is a treasure!

I also need to start eating better... harder on the road, but I am going to make an effort!:)

Those are some great pages! I love it when the new tools do just what you are hoping they will. I like your sketch of the outdoors from the indoors too. I just got home from my oldest sister's house and she was telling me how she loves beets. It was fun to be reminded of that just now. Your drawings were great of the beet and the citrus squeezer.
