Visiting an Old Favorite

Today, I stopped by a favorite muffin shop that I had not been to in many years.

After getting my coffee and a raisin bran muffin, I set myself up across the street with my folding chair and journal and got busy drawing and painting. Two different groups of children marched by as I painted. They were in a day camp at a local recreation center down the block. The little children were very gracious in their comments and they wanted to stop and look at my "pretty picture".

The group of teens that went by were very "cool" and most did not look at my page. However, one boy commented, "Hey, you're good!". This was a lovely boost to my spirits.

Although, the exterior of Muffin Mania has been spruced up recently, the interior is just as I had remembered it with the same people serving and greeting their "regulars". I am no longer a regular but really had fun visiting.
