Walking and Shopping

Monday and Tuesday were quiet days for me after a fairly busy week last week.

I enjoyed just puttering around and getting things done at home. Monday afternoon, I took a long walk along a path on the other side of the creek where I take my morning walks.
I tried some colored pencils and a waterbrush on this page. It was OK, I prefer the regular watercolors for larger scenes like this one.

Today, I drove myself over to Emeryville to see the IKEA store. I had never been to one. It is quite an experience. I'm glad I had plenty of time for there was much to see. I purchased one thing that was reduced from $12.99 to $2.99... what a bargain!

I think I am really going to like it. It is a lightweight molded plastic drafting unit. It has holes for things and my journal fits on it really well. Actually, so does my lap top. It creates a great angle for typing.

I was pretty pooped when I got home and my feet knew that I had walked awhile. I had already walked my 2 mile morning walk just before I took off for the East Bay. That was not very good planning.
