A Picture Perfect Day in Marin

My day started with lovely sunrise, this is the view outside of my bedroom window.
I love looking out at the sky that is framed by the huge old oak tree near by.

Our Watercolor Journal Group met and painted at a beautiful home and garden that is right on the shores of San  Francisco Bay.
The temps were in the high 80's today.

There were so many things to take in and enjoy.
It was hard to settle down and choose something to put on my page.
As you can see, I confused persimmon with quince, but I added an * to edit later!

The gardener arranged some gourds on the table for us. I had never seen a pebbled pumpkin, this was a first for me.... it was hard to get the color  right on the small ones. When I go out with my journal, I work with a very tiny palette with just a few colors.  Any way, I can remember the color by looking at my page... it was a pale/pink/orange... very pretty with green markings.

Later, a friend and I enjoyed lunch before heading home... I could not have chosen a nicer day!
