Bouquets to Art at the De Young Museum in San Francisco

I went with a group of fellow residents from the Redwoods to see the wonderful floral exhibits that local flower designers create for the art in the museum each spring.

This was something I had always intended to see,
but some how I never got my act together to get a ticket, ask a friend, drive my car,
park my car and so on and so on.
Inertia sets in and these wonderful opportunities go by.
Now that I have a ride and a prompt from some one else,
I think I will be doing many more fun things.

This is the view across the concourse to the Academy of Sciences .... it has a living roof!
The museum has a tall tower that allows one a 360 degree view of San Francisco below.

Superman done in flowers in front of the painting.

This dog was my favorite... he has so much personality.

The front entrance has a long arrangement of Gerber Daisies, so colorful!
This was just one section.
They were planted by color from reds to yellows and greens.

What a pleasant surprise to find floral decorations in the women's room,
I could not resist taking a photo.

After 3 hours at the Museum, I was ready to get back on our bus and have a ride home.
I'm liking this easy way of going out and doing things, for sure!

Sounds like you enjoyed yourself. Sometimes a ride can make a lot of difference.
