Memorial Day Weekend Doings

My small part of the world
is pretty busy over this weekend.

Sunday was Pentecost at church.
The sanctuary was decked out in red
and most of the congregation dressed in
red .... we even had a red cake at coffee hour.

Today features a carnival at the Community Center,
a parade down Miller Avenue and
a concert in our local park.
So much to do and see,
all within an easy walk from here.

------------------------------

I have to throw in a page done in red
that features my geranium that
has grown too large for my deck.
I moved it out into our solarium area.

I started my day today with this page below.
I wanted to take a moment before all
the action, to remember those who
fought for our freedom.

A group of us from the Redwoods, hopped
on our little bus today and went to the Spinnacker
for lunch. It was such fun to sit right out
over the water and see all the action on SF Bay.
The GG Bridge turned 75 this weekend.
So, there is a LOT going on around here!

There sure does seem to be a lot going on there. You are much busier than I am although I'll be heading for southern California for almost 6 weeks soon. I'll be attending a couple of high school graduations, a ballet recital, an 18th birthday party and a doctor's appointment. In between all that I'll be trying to help my daughter find foods she can eat now that she's been found to have sensitivities to wheat, eggs, yeast, milk and potatoes along with another dozen plus foods. Hopefully I'll keep up somewhat with blogs and classes I've signed up for.
