A Wonderful 8 Day Silent Retreat

I just got home from a wonderful retreat held 

in Santa Cruz, right on Monterey Bay.

It is a time to be quiet and receive love 

and be in touch with God.

The retreat is called Guided Imagery with Music.

There are 9 travelers and 3 guides 

and 2 volunteer cooks.

We all stay in a beach cottage 

that is situated right above the Bay.

I am going to post quite a few images.

The first batch are pages from my journal.

Some of the text talks about some 

of the messages I received during 

my GIM sessions with my Guide.

These images may not make sense, 

but I will share them anyway.

We each had a sprig of holly in our rooms.

I did a quick watercolor sketch of our outlook view.

I also took a lot of photos of the 

amazing sunrises and sunsets. 

I could see the sunrises from my bedroom window.

What a very special way to start my day!

I was even able to see the moon one morning, 

a perfect crescent.

And then, at the end of the day, 

we were treated to a beautiful sunset.

This wonderful old tree hangs precipitously 

1/2  way on and 1/2 way on the side the bluff.

We had a special look out above the water 

where we could enjoy eating outside

 or just sit and take in the beauty around us.

I ate my large bowl of salad outside

almost every lunch time.

Here I am on the last day taking a final look.

My friend, Elaine, expressed joy for

such a great experience!

This is my 5th GIM and each 

one is very unique and special for me.
