A First Watercolor Lesson for a Neighbor and Friend

My friend Jeanne, is going to join our
Watercolor Journal Group tomorrow.
We needed to get her up and running.
Last week we bought supplies and today I helped her get
familiar with her new paints and materials.

Here are a few photos of our time together.

 Here is Jeanne's very first watercolor painting.


I showed Jeanne how to do a color chart
playing with different mixtures on her palette.
Her paints are Cotman which is a student grade paint.
They will be fine for awhile
until she wants a better set.

in my journal as she did her painting.
