MAC Fever

Yesterday, I treated myself to a new Mac Book Pro. The screen is so much better than my trusty Mac Book that I am now able to see subtle color changes and the 2 extra inches is also good for old eyes. Because I am a teacher, I was able to get an In Touch I Pod as a rebate item. The In Touch is essentially an i phone with out the phone.
I had been wanting an i phone for a long time, mainly for all the other features such as music, contacts, maps etc. However, I did not want to pay the monthly phone fee as I rarely use a cell phone.
So, now I have an embarrassment of riches with, not only a new lap top, but a little gadget for music, contacts, email etc. It works where ever there is a wi fi presence. And, of course I don't need the wi fi to play my music.

Needless to say, I spent hours playing with my new toys and went to bed happy and a with some body aches from sitting and looking, looking, looking for a very long time.

This morning I got up, tore my self away from electronics and met our Marin Watercolor Journaling Group at the Marin Art and Garden Center. The weather was ideal, in the low 80's. We all enjoyed the beautiful grounds. My page was filled with several vignettes of different things that caught my interest.

Here it is.
The reflecting pond was so beautiful.. the green and yellow juniper shrubs were reflected in the water. I shrunk the pond to fit into my page, it is actually quite large.
