A Serene Saturday

I had a lovely Saturday today... up early to walk the path along Corte Madera creek and then down to Mill Valley to attend a meeting that always gives me encouragement and direction. I visited with some friends and then went to the local shopping center where I found a perfect camp stool at REI. I can keep it in the car and then use it when I want to sit somewhere and do a page in my journal. I had been using a folding chair that takes up too much room. This stool collapses to a small size.

I found these wonderful beets at the market. I think I am going to roast some veggies for dinner tonight and these will be the highlight of the meal. I love beets and we did not serve them at our home. The girls' father liked almost everything that I would put on the table with only two exceptions, beets and French onion soup (He had gotten food poisoning from the soup as a young man skiing in Europe. I don't think another spoon full of French onion soup ever passed his lips!) There was no interesting story about beets, he just did not like them.
