Family and Friends

This Bible Story Quilt has a rich history. My mother had it put away for one of her grandchildren. Many, many years later it is ready to be loved by her great granddaughter, Elsa. It had already been well loved by the son of a good friend who grew up with it on his bed and even played with it in his tree house. The quilt has been restored and repaired by another wonderful friend, Marilyn and now it is ready for another chapter in its long history.

Marilyn lives in Petaluma. I spent the morning there and had a good visit with my sister, Nancy. We share many things together... this was the last page posted in my Artists' Journal Class. I hope to keep up with frequent entries.

Today was another great day with friends. I spent the afternoon with a good friend who lives way up north. It was great to see her, we share a common love of expressing ourselves with art. I was excited to share all my new art supplies and things that I have been learning recently. We went to a local Thai restaurant and then came home to tea and some delicious pumpkin cake that another friend gifted me this morning after our meeting.

Just writing these sentences reminds me of how blessed I am to have such a loving family and some many good friends.
