A Lovely Sunny December Day

We had a glorious sunny day today... I even opened my sun roof and drove around town with the sun streaming into my car as I zipped around doing my errands. I also got in a lovely walk along the Corte Madera creek at high tide. We have lots of Canadian Geese right now hanging out around the bay... they are so beautiful to watch. There were lots of ducks and other fowl in the creek today.

This tree grows along the Corte Madera Creek pathway. My friend Miriam brought me a branch and I had to go and see it for my self. Anyone know what it is?

Today's pages explain the rest of my day, getting things done and just enjoying being in such a beautiful spot on a nice day. It was fun to fix up Purple Baby for Elsa. I will have her here tomorrow and she will be reunited with a good friend.

And here is the answer from my friend, Shirley.

Your lovely "Mystery Tree" is an Arbutus Marina. It is sometimes referred to as the Strawberry Tree
or the Lily of the Valley Tree. As it ages the bark sheds from time to time, and the trunk becomes smooth, and a pretty red color. I have two of them in my yard. Love, Shirley
