Arizona Adventures

I just returned from Arizona where I visited my cousins, Mary Dunbar Brown and Craig Brown. It was a cousin reunion of sorts. We drove to Phoenix to visit with my cousin Cynthia Dunbar Turner and had a great Mexican lunch... sadly, my camera disappeared so I have no photo of Cynthia and us.

This wonderfully painted Toucan sits out on Mary and Craig's patio in Green Valley. I made a journal page trying to capture the fanciful colors that Mary put on this rocking bird. If you can read the print, you will learn that Craig is a FABULOUS cook. He created vegan meals for all of us - breakfast, lunch and dinner for almost a week. I have never eaten so well!

We spent a lot of time on the couches.... a major sport...here are Mary and Craig.

I met John Bentley Dunbar Jr. who now lives in Green Valley with his wife, Carol. We think we met once as young children so this was very special to get together... His father and my mother were sister and brother. He is Mary's brother.

Here are the Dunbars and the Browns... what fun to have all this family together. I discovered that John's son, John Bentley Dunbar III lives and works in Napa. I hope to meet him sometime soon as Napa is just up the road. My grandsons have Dunbar names... Bentley and Davis Dunbar... the names go on down through the generations.

It is good to be home ..... I had such a wonderful time with Mary and Craig... they are so dear and I love them lots!

It looks like a great time was had by all. I love the photo of the people on the couch. They look so happy! The drawing is adorable. Good for you for taking your sketchbook.
