Settling In at The Redwoods and a Paint Out/In

My sister, Nancy, suggested I keep this antique Oriental Rug and use it in my new nest.
I am so happy she brought it back, it really warms up the room.
I love all my red accents and the rug ties them all together.

On Tuesday, I brought my new neighbor, Audrey, to our Watercolor Journal Group.
It was a cold morning so the two of us stayed inside the coffee cafe.
We did a mini tutorial as we sipped our hot latte's and teas.
Audrey will be a great addition to our wonderful group of journal artists and friends.

I did a quick page as we visited and I showed her my book and painting supplies and gear.
These past few weeks have been busy with my move,
It felt good to do a page, although it was pretty rudimentary, it was fun.
Isn't that what it is all about?

The rug does look great--warms it up nicely. How fun to find another watercolor friend :-) And I Like the way you set up your page.

The rug really added a lot! Your pictures look nice on the wall too.

That's wonderful your new neighbor may be painting with you! Your page is great too. You should add to your page its the first one done at your new home!

The rug was just the proper touch to warm up this room. It looks very comfortable and welcoming!
And how nice that you've already found neighbors with similar interests! Wonderful!
