A Hydrangea Bloom from Porter's Garden

My daughter has a lace cap hydrangea bush in her back yard. I took a bloom home and used my watercolors to try to capture the wonderful colors. I'm just starting to do some watercolors without using pen and ink. It's fun to get back into this more traditional way of painting. This is a 9" by 12".

Gorgeous. I'm not sure I've ever seen that variety of hydrangea.

Thanks for all of your encouraging comments... I love the colors of hydrangea blooms and their subtle shades. This lace cap was particularly delicate with the colors of the little buds in the center.
